EC machine directive
The EC machine directive requires internal technical documentation to prove that machines conform. This must be kept by the user in a safe place and presented to the authorities on request. It includes all design plans and wiring diagrams of the machine, a risk assessment and hazard analysis, the user manual, if applicable the complete documentation of all components procured from suppliers, a list of standards applied, and the declaration of conformity or certificate of incorporation.

Requirements on explosion protection
Explosion protection is a sensitive and complex topic that is subject to constant changes. A correct implementation often has a major impact on eliminating risks to people's lives. Together with you we will precisely assess the explosion risks in the relevant areas of your premises in accordance with the ATEX Directive 99/92/EC and classify the areas into hazard zones including an ignition hazard assessment. We provide you with reliable advice when it comes to making modifications or upgrades to your existing machines and systems.
Oschatzer Waagen GmbH was awarded the type approval for ATEX bulk scales of the 34.138 line (5kg) to the 34.146 line (1000kg). These bulk scales can be used in category 1 applications according to the equipment group II. Certification that is required for the production of ATEX scales and weighing systems according to Directive 94/9/EC, Annex IV, Module Production Quality Assurance has also been obtained.
